Crown Football Club History
Crown Football Club is one of the Nigerian football clubs and is primarily based in Ogbomosho, Oyo State Nigeria, the club is also among the Nigeria National League team. Crown Football Club was established in the year 1994 by a former chaplain and pastor to Nigeria’s one time president Olusegun Obasanjo by name Rev. Prof. Yusuf Ameh Obaje.
The state has produced two top football clubs in Nigeria which is Crown Football Club which has Lekan Salami stadium now called Adamasingba Stadium as their home stadium and their main rival the Shooting Stars Football Club based in Ibadan.
The football club has made so many achievements, in the year 2010, the club gained a promotion to Nigeria’s Premier League as they finished top on 2010 Division 1B, but their promotion was short-lived as they were relegated to National League just after one year.
The club stayed in the lower level of the Nigeria professional league for two football seasons after which they strive for promotion at the end of the 2013 football season, luckily for the club, they won the match played with Fountain Football Club with a score of 1-0 respectively which brought their promotion back. And the clubs match results as at the end of the 2013 football season was recorded as 14 wins, 2 draws and 10 losses.
In the 2012/2013 football season, Crown Football Club was once again promoted to the Elite league in Nigeria national league as they came out 2nd with a match result of 44 points just a few points behind Abia Warriors that emerged the winner.
